Problem Class: Optical Scattering

JCMsuite contains the module JCMharmony for the solution of optical scattering problems. Scattering problems are problems, where the refractive index geometry of the objects are given, incident waves as well as (possibly) interior sources are known and the response of the structure in terms of reflected, refracted and diffracted waves has to be computed. The left figure sketches the response of a micro lens subject to waves incident from the left and the right figure shows an actual simulation of a micro lense with antireflection coating For those who are interested, a more mathematical definition of the problem class can be found here.
